Emerson Bruns is a founding partner of Bruns Brennan Berry Pikulin & Jacobs, an entertainment law firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles.  Emerson’s  practice involves all aspects of entertainment law and he specializes in the formation of investment vehicles for the production of independent films, film financing agreements, and provides production counsel legal services.  Emerson represents numerous award-winning motion picture and television producers as well as national and international motion picture studios, financiers and distributors. Emerson has written articles for and contributed to numerous publications focused on the motion picture industry and has served as resource consultant and panel speaker for the Independent Feature Project, as well as a panelist for numerous seminars, including the Practicing Law Institutes “Counseling Clients in the Entertainment Industry” for the last 10 years. Emerson has been practicing law in the entertainment field for over 28 years. Prior to establishing Bruns Brennan Berry Pikulin & Jacobs, Emerson was managing partner of his eponymous firm, served as Of Counsel to Schreck, Rose, Dapello, Adams & Hurwitz, was a partner at Rudolph & Beer, an associate with Warren Alpert & Beigelman, and an associate with Williams, Mullen, Christian & Dobbins in Richmond, Virginia where he practiced securities and corporate law.  

Emerson  received his law degree from William and Mary School of Law in 1991 and his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in 1987.
