Aviva Wishnow joined Bruns Brennan Berry Pikulin & Jacobs in 2021. She covers a wide variety of development, production, and distribution matters for production companies, producers, and filmmakers.

Prior to joining the firm, she was an attorney at New York's flagship PBS station, WNET, where she focused on acquisitions, co-productions, pre-publication review, and structuring new media initiatives.

During her time at Cardozo School of Law, Aviva clerked for Kluk Farber (formerly known as Kluk Pianko), interned at FilmNation and Visit Films, and participated in her law school's Indie Film Clinic.

Aviva's work in entertainment law is informed by her own hands-on experience in the independent film industry. Before becoming an attorney, she worked on both the production and distribution side of independent films, with a focus on international sales. She has produced acclaimed films that have premiered at Sundance, Berlin, and Tribeca, and even screened at Obama's White House. She also co-founded a boutique production company focused on feature documentaries and branded content.

Aviva graduated from Cardozo and Oberlin College, and is admitted to practice in New York.
